RTW Foundation Donates $100,000 to American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles Wildfire Response Efforts

Published

January 17, 2025, New York, NY – Today, RTW Foundation (RTWF) announced a $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles in response to the widespread devastation from the wildfires. This contribution to the California Wildfires Fund 2025 will support evacuation, housing, and other emergency response services for those affected by the disaster. The Los Angeles wildfires began the morning of January 7 in Pacific Palisades, and destroyed nearly 40,000 acres across Los Angeles, killing at least 25 people and displacing at least 100,000 residents so far. Los Angeles County has declared a public health emergency and is hopeful that the winds will weaken in the next few days, allowing them to contain the fires.

“Families are depending on the Red Cross for assistance. As Californians cope with the trauma and massive destruction of the wildfires, more than 350 American Red Cross workers are helping to ensure no one faces this heartbreaking time alone. We’re coordinating closely with our partners to provide food, shelter, emotional support and other critical services.”
