Woan-Yu serves as the Research Scientist at RTW Foundation, where she works closely with patient advocacy organizations, helping foundations make informed, science-driven decisions that accelerate the path from discovery to treatment.
Prior to joining RTW Foundation, Woan-Yu was most recently a postdoctoral researcher at Weill Cornell Medicine, studying how rare genetic mutations affect neurological disease through the microbiome. Woan-Yu holds a Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis from Weill Cornell Medicine.
